Our camera system consists of 10 Vicon cameras.
Vicon cameras are configured with 12.5mm lenses that give an effective Field of View (FoV). The camera system provides high precision tracking data with slow or high-speed motion using markers of sizes ranging from 3mm to 25mm in diameter.
Markers are attached to objects that are to be tracked inside the capture volume. The captured camera data is then fed into the Vicon server and displayed using the Vicon Tracker software for real-time analysis and capture. This data can also be transferred to the Quanser Workstation for flight algorithm position analysis in Matlab, Simulink, and QuaRC via a crossover cable connection.
